Blind Date

on

Heartbeat

racing like hell,

Goosebumps all over the

body. Feet all soaked inside the

shoes. Hands all perspiring, wetting

the beautiful rose bouquet, bought for the

occasion. Spine all cold. Butterflies rampaging

in the stomach. Mouth all dried. Words seemingly

exhausted from the vocabulary. Unsteady eyes watching

everything closely. Kept glancing at the watch. Mind

all clustered with a hundred possible scenarios.

From head to toe, the whole body overworked.

As the lady of the moment approached closer,

it was all now, just do or die. Somehow, he

mustered up his courage and composed

himself. Smiled like a kid, at her and

said, “Hi.” Gave her the flowers

and they continued their walk.

It was after all, for him,

his first ever

blind date.
