After every small fight, inevitable,
‘Twas tougher for her to let him go.
Many apologies later,
Somehow, she subdued his ego.
Grew up together, side by side,
Best friends they were, through thick and thin.
She often called him, her yang,
While to him, she was always his yin.
Planned to travel the world together,
And experience an adventure like never before.
With another number, fate had rolled the dice,
Their beautiful world, struck by a meteor.
Gone he was, one day all of a sudden,
On a new journey, death, his new companion.
A promise he made, right before he parted,
With her, there will be another reunion.
Existed too much, felt too much,
Thought too much, that, she was always,
Reality crushed the life out of her,
Lost count of her living days.
Past memories brought the unbearable hell,
Time had stopped for her, indefinitely.
Everything was just the gone moments,
But waited for him, remembering his promise, infinitely.
Ready she was now, after a solid fifty years,
Just as promised, to meet her yang finally.
Recollecting all those gone moments, one last time,
Closed her eyes and sighed her last breath, happily.
